防火電焊毯主要采用防火不燃纖維，經(jīng)特殊工藝處理后加工而成。主要特點(diǎn)：不燃、耐高溫（550~1100度）、結(jié)構(gòu)緊密、無刺激性、質(zhì)地柔軟有韌性，方便包扎表面凹凸不平的物體和設(shè)備。防火毯能很好的保護(hù)物體遠(yuǎn)離熱火點(diǎn)及火花區(qū)，并徹底阻止燃燒或隔離燃燒。
防火電焊毯適用于在焊接等有火花、易引起火災(zāi)的場合，能夠抵擋火花飛濺、熔渣、燒焊飛濺物等，起到隔離工作場所、分隔工作層、杜絕焊接工作中可能引起的火災(zāi)危險；也可作隔光用，同時建立一個安全、清潔、規(guī)范的作業(yè)空間。
防火電焊毯是公安消防安全重點(diǎn)單位的理想防護(hù)工具，在大型商場、超市、賓館等公共娛樂場所進(jìn)行動火施工時：如焊接、切割等：使用防火毯可以直接減少火花飛濺，起到將易燃、易爆危險品的隔離和阻斷，并使人的生命和財產(chǎn)的完整得以保證。
防火電焊毯被大量使用在船舶業(yè)對船架構(gòu)造及修理方面；也可使用在石油化工企業(yè)對金屬結(jié)構(gòu)等隔熱、需要焊接的地方，表現(xiàn)出很好的防護(hù)適應(yīng)性。

選用防火毯(電焊毯)建議：
1、 為了在作業(yè)時增強(qiáng)防護(hù)效果，應(yīng)該使用多層復(fù)合防火毯
2、 防火電焊毯經(jīng)過不同涂層處理，可以達(dá)到不同的使用效果。如：防水、耐磨、防腐蝕、耐油、提高耐溫度和保溫時間等。用戶應(yīng)根據(jù)具體使用要求選用合適的防火毯。
3、 覆蓋物體和設(shè)備，應(yīng)選擇質(zhì)地柔軟型的，且有韌性的防火毯。如覆蓋大型物體或設(shè)備，應(yīng)選擇大型防火毯----遮蓋蓬布。
4、 厚度小于0.6mm的電焊毯應(yīng)垂直使用,避免火花擊穿電焊毯；水平面使用應(yīng)選擇厚度大于0.6mm的電焊毯.
Advice of using fireproofing blanket:
1. to increase the protecting efficiency, should use multilayer complex fireproofing blanket;
2. the fireproofing electric welding could get different efficiency by coated in different ways. For example, it has the capabilities of waterproofing, wearable, corrosion proofing, resisting oil, increasing the temperature and temperature holding time; customers should choose the suitable fireproofing blanket according to the frondoes using request;
3. cover the goods or equipment should choose the soft and with tenacity fireproofing blanket; if used to cover large goods or equipment, should choose large fireproofing blanket---cover sail fabric;
4. the electric welding whose thickness is smaller than 0.6mm should be used vertically to avoid the flame striking out the blanket, aclinic using should choose the blanket whose thickness is high than 0.6mm.
